MassChallenge announced today the Final 26 startups remaining in contention in the world's largest Global Startup Competition and Accelerator. We are proud to announce that JoyTunes is one of the Top 26 teams. The top 26 startups will each deliver 1 min pitches in MassChallenge final ceremony before about 15 teams are announced as the winners of either $50K or $100K of prize money each, summing to a total of $1 million in prize money.

Parents' Choice revealed the winners of the prestigious Fall 2010 Small Screen Awards. JoyTunes' first music game, JoyTunes Recorder, was announced as a winner. This win makes JoyTunes amongst the few companies that have received this honor over the years, standing side by side along with a number of selected games produced by honorable companies such as Disney and Warner Bros. JoyTunes very own "Selig" is now starring along children idols such as Dora and Harry Potter. From the review: "... JoyTunes to participate in World's largest startup competition

JoyTunes was selected as one of the 110 finalists in MassChallenge: the world's largest global startup competition. The competition was designed to accelerate the development and success of high-growth, high-impact new businesses. An initial group of 446 entrants from 26 countries began the competition in April. Of the 110 finalists announced, 108 are from the US, making JoyTunes one of only two non-US teams that made the cut. The final group of entrepreneur teams will recieve networking and mentorship opportunities during the intensive three-month accelerator phase of the competition. Ultimately, between 10 and 20 winners will receive cash awards of $50,000 to $100,000 toward launching their high-impact businesses. These MassChallenge grants will be awarded to winners in October 2010. full story...
